The mightiest volunteer army that swing- into fetion in peace-time America, is now in the midst of the annual Christmas Seal Sale throughout Indiana—to finance another year's countty-wide activities against tuberculosis. It is estimated that 2’> 000 |>ersnn in Indiana—more than W>0,000 throughout the United States wi-s assist in the campaign of the National Tuberculosis Association, tin Indiana Tuberculosis Association and its 92 contituent county organization in the coming campaign for the futhei eradication of man’s great enemy-

tuberculosis.

Everywhere throughout the state, committee- have been organized to lend aid in the sale of Chiistmas Seals from the proceeds of which the steady winning battle against the “Whiti Plague” is to he carried on in 1929. The fight is a winning fight. In a short twenty years this educational effort to correct methods of living, to prevent, limit, control and ofttimes cure the dreaded tuberculosis, has done wonders. More than 100,000 lives annually are being saved in the United

States.

And the cost to the overage citizen is so small .«s to be entirely negligible; in fact, the cost is saved hundreds of times over when we think of the saving of lives and money that eradication of the disease brings out. The tub, rculosis Christmas Seals sell 1 for one dollar a hundred. Many Indiann citizens buy them in hundred dollar lot-, as the best health insurance (for the public that i- offered. Others, millions of them, buy from one dollar I to five dollars worth. And the grand total provides sufficient money-most | of it spent in the community in which lit is given to finance for another year the nation-wide network of clinics, fresh air schools, child nutrition !classes, rudng services, child health ] programs, research work end education in protection of the whole population. The Christmas Seal costs little—saves so much! They are I worthy object for every pocket book ! at this -eason of good cheer! Put them on your Christmas mail and packages! Peace on earth good will jtoward men! iJealth on earth buy I Christmas Seals,

Ruetter, although he did not win a medal this year, won medals the first five years of the club’s organization, and Weaver has missed only one of the six years. Senour and Higgs, of Brookville, had the honor of raising tin* largest iwrcentage of any gold medal winer thi:

year.

Joe Disch, of Brooksburg, produced the large-t gold medal flock of lambs in the state, with a production of 63 lambs from 50 ewes. The sheep business has been so profitable for Disch that he has steadily increased the size of hi- * we flock fiom year to year He now -ells his lambs early in June, instead of a month or two month later as he did formerly. A flock of rented ewes won the second gold modal for Roy Cook, of Dari ington. He rented 20 ewes on shares from a neighbor three years ago, and for the past two year- they have produced him a gold medal. Lindley W. Haker, of Cambridge City, first to qualify for the gold medal in 1927, was again the first to qu lify thi yeur. In the six year of the club hi
