Fred Reising announced Friday that a Thanksgiving Day shooting match will be held on Thursday, November 29, at the Rod and Gun Club target range south of the city on the cemetery road. Mrs, George Fox, Reelsville, Mrs. Joe Trimble, Mrs. Ben Trimble and children, Carlisle, and Mrs. Ira Henefiel, -pent Wednesday and Thursday with Mrs. Essie Beneliel and family on .South Indiana street. The will of George W. Cummingwas filed for probate Thursday afternoon in fhe Putnam Circuit court. Veronica (lub Party. The home of Mr. and Mrs. \V. T. Handy, south of the city was the -<eni‘ cf one o, the prettiest of tin annual Halloween parties Thursday evening when the Veronica Club member.- entertaind their families. The home wa- decorated throughout with uutum leaves, black cats, pump-| kins and in orange and black crepel paper. In the dining room, a long table was laden with eats. From the light in the center of the room, long twi -ted streaitieis extended to each of the tables, and -mull tables provided for the guest- had covers of black and orange paper with small black cuts in the corners. They had center* 1 pieces of fall flowers. There were sixty present, and only four families absent. Mrs. John C.. Knight was chairman of the entertainment committee and Mr-. Henry O'Hair, Mrs. Will Miller and Mrs. Lawrence Snider assisted her. The evening was spent in a number of stunts, and two ladies masked

Unique Party Thursday. The Delta Theta Tau sorority enjoyed rather a unique form of entertainment Thursday evening when they took a ride in Gardner’s truck south of Greencastle where they had an old fashioned Halloween party in the Peck barn. Fodder and pumpkins decorated the barn, and the evening was spent in game playing, dancing and fortune telling. Krefreshments of doughnuts, cracker jack, coffee and cider were served. Sophomore ( lass Party. The sophomore class of the High .School gave a delightful party Thursday evening at the gymnasium. The .urg gym was decorated throughout w ith fodder and pumpkins and shaded lights. Almost the entire sophomore class was present. A prize for the most clever costume was awarded Mis- Elizals-th Maxfieid. Chairman in charge of the committees were: Charlotte Etter, refreshments, Paul Jones, decorations anil Charles Brown, entertainment. The evening was spent in a general round of games, and refreshments of pop corn, gingerbread and cider were
served.
Members of the High School faculty pre.-ent were: Floyd Miller, class ponsor, Prof, and Mrs. Frank N. Jones, Prof, and Mrs. Bishop, Harold Stewart, Prof. Thomas, Prof. Goldsborry, Miss Hazel Arbuckle, Miss Ethel Ader and Miss Ruth Owens. + + *b*h + * Pictures In News A picture of Mrs. R. A. Ogg of Greencastle, who is chairman of the i.--olutioris committee at the Indiana State Federation of Clubs, which is being held in Indianapolis, was in the Indianapolis News Thursday evening. A picture of Dean K. G. McCutchan also appeared in the same issue, as head of the DePauw choir, which gave the program Wednesday evening before the convention.
