DUBLIN, Ind., Oct. 6. (UP) — Authorities today investigated the cause of a crash near here yesterday of a school bus and railway section, car, in which one person was seriously injured and twenty-nine others sustained superflous cuts and

LOCAL GAS PLANT BEING IMPROVED Substantial progress is being made in the improvements in the local service facilities of the Greencastle Ga: and Electric Company. Announcement was made today that the new four inch mains which will be laid in the residential sections of the city, will tie the distribution system together in such a way that customers will receive adequate and reliable service at all times with uniform pressure. This new main will be laid in Crown street, from Elm to Berry -treets, and in Berry street from Crown to Indiana .Ueet. Another section of four inch main will lie laid in Wood street from Seminary to Washington street. Construction of the new high pressur gas storage tank is under way. The foundation has been completed and constr uction of the tank is about to commence. This tank will be 71 feet long and 20 feet in diameter, atcl wnll have a capacity of 50,000 cubic feet of gas. A compressor has been ordered which will lie installed as soon as the storage tank is completed and will as sure Greencastle gas costumers of a reliable pressure continuously. These improvements nre the result of a survey made by engineers of the Midland Utilities Company, which purchased the local gas company a f ew weeks ago. The Midland company controls a number of gas, electric and transportation companies located chiefly in Indiana and Ohio.
