Sanders, who organized the Clo.isdali' Christian church, and has been minister of the church since its organization, three years ago, ha tend< ivd his resignation to the church to become effective not later than the I; t Sunday in I teem her. Mr. Sander organized the Church in the W. O. W. hall, and in three years it l a grown to about 150 member . The church has bought and almost paid fer t -e old high school building, fitj ting it complete into an efficient church plant. This church has accomplished in three years what it has I taken hundreds of churches fifty to 100 years to do. Mr. Sander will give all of his time to the evangelistic work.

Missionary Society Met. The first open meeting of the year f the Mi-sionan Society of the Christian Church was held in the Sunday School room Thursday at 8
p. m.
Quite a number of guests wore present to enjoy the meeting. The subject was, “The Church— Mini-ter, Maintenance, Building.” The pastor, B. H. Biuner gave a very helpful talk on the first part of the ubject, "The Mini-try," commenting on part of Thess. 5th. chapter. Mrs. Henry Birknell wive the second part if the program, tihe told of the work we are doing among the foreign people of this country and also of the work among our own people in the largo cities. Her talk was very in--tructive and interesting. Mrs. B. H. Bruner had the last part of the program, "Building”. She gave a very vivid account of her experience in helping to organize a church in one of the large cities of Ohio. Bart of this story was very j pathetic indeed, hut she is happy to j know that today this church is in a I flourishing condition. After the regular program, Dr. and Mrs. Hutcheson gave ui another i real by showing some of the pictures of different countries they vis- i ited while on their recent trip around j the world. The society is very grateful to them ' for their part of the program. Aftthe program the hostesses invited i all to the dining room in the basement of the church where dainty re-fre-hments were served. The host-' -ses were, M'sdame; B. H. Bruner, YY’arrer J. Yount, Henry Bhillips, j ('has. Rector, Harry Wells and Ray Fisher. .j. .j. .p »{. President And Mrs. Oxanm Honored At Reception. Dr. and Mrs. G. Bromley Oxnam were honor guests at a hriliant rece-' ption given at the I’hi Kappa Psi ; fraternity home Thursday evening by Mrs. Jennie Curtis Hearst and the member- of the fraternity. In the receiving line were Silas Gunn, Mrs. Hearst, Dr. and Mrs. Oxnam and Dr and Mrs. Y\’. M. Blanchard. The reception gave several hundred citizen- an opportunity of meeting Dr. and Mrs. Oxnam who have come to Greencastle to make their home. Refreshment* of punch and wafers were served in the dining room and on the spacious side porch of the chapter
house.

Immediately following this speech he will make an addres at 8:00 o’clock at the General Education meeting, after which he will take a train to New York City to attend the Peace Conference.
