CHI KCHES TO MEET CRAWFORDSVILLE, Sept. 121 (Fi’)—Montgomery county Christian churches will hold their conference j this year at the New Market Christian church on Sept. 24. The conference will last the entire day. Both dinner and supper will ire -erved. HOME COMING SATURDAY I \ F \ YFTTE, Ind., S. pt. -Tippecanoe county folks will hold a home-coming for Harry G. Leslie, Republican candidate for governor on Sept. 15, Saturday, at Columbian Park this city. From every corner of the state Republican Good Roads Auto Caravans will journey towards Lafayette, and according to Ralph Adams, Republican county chairman, and general chairman for Leslie Day, it is expected that the banner of every county in the state will be planted at Columbian Park as a mark of loyalty and respect for Harry Leslie and the Republican cause he repre-

sents.

Starting from the corners of the commonwealth and gathering force and numbers as they march, the auto caravans, as indicated by advance reports from various sections, are going to lie so imposing as to demand a special traffic committee headed by an expert to keep them moving and get them parked. This detail is being looked after. “Good roads developed under Republican rule make this sort of a rally feasible and easy,” says Chairman Adams. "We propose to give the state a demonstration of the good uses to which our great road system may he put. We are urging each and every county to join the parade on September 15.” Speakers of national fame are to he here, including Senator James E. i Watson of Hnosier nativity. Senator Arthur R. Robinson and Representative Wf’ill It. Woo,!, heading the Republican candidates for congress, will lie present, and the Republican state nominees will be on hand in a body. Republican legislative nominees throughout the state are to lie urged to attend. A big brass band is being mobilized, to include practically all the muslcians in the community. Chairman I Adams says he is finding it neces- ] sary, in order to care for all the v Iunteers, to make the reception committee for Leslie Day include prartic- ! ally the entire population of Tippecanoe county.
