Miss Lillian O’Hair entertained her Sunday school class Wednesday afternoon at her hume near Brick Chapel. The afternoon was spent in playing various games on the shady lawn, and much merriment was made of taking pictures. Ice cream and little cakes were served as refreshments. Everyone had a most enjoyable time and returned home at a
late hour.

Word has been received of the birth of a son on August 19th to Mr. ami Mrs. Alfred M. Baldwin at Fort Wayne, Ind. Mr. Baldwin is a former resident of Putnam county.
Roy Welch and father, Lewis Welch of Lafayette visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Moore. Mrs. Welch returned with them after several weeks stay here with her parents.

The funeral of Robert Wright who died Tuesday night, was held Thursday afternoon at two o’clock from the home in Madison township. Interment was in the Long Branch Cemetery.
The regular Thursday evening concert by the Greencastle hand will be given tonight on the court house lawn. A large crowd is expected to he in attendance as the season is nearing an end.
Mr. and Mrs. Rollie Dobbs and family of LaPorte, Ind., are here for a visit with relatives ami friends. Miss Virginia Williams who has been spending the summer with them accompanied them home.
The Prudential Insurance Company of America versus William B. Moreland et al is the title of an application for the appointment of a roeeiver without notice, filed in the County Clerk’s office by Davis Harrison of Indianapolis, attorney for the plaintiff.
The health clinic which is being conducted in Putnam county was in Russellville on Thursday and will be at the Floyd township school, Friday. The county nurse reported that the nurpber of those who are taking advantage of this clinic is not as large as it was last year. The clinic will start in Greencastle on Monday and continue for several days during which time it is expected that a large number in this city will take advantage of this opportunity than last year as it is better organized.
