Charles Crawley was back on duty at the local post-office this morning after being ill at his home on State Road 43 for the past several days. Mi. Crawley was taken suddenly ill while at work at th? post-office several days ago.

Mr. and Mrs. John W. Rohe left Wednesday for Long Beach, Calif , where they will spend the next six weeks. They expect to stop off at Denver, Colo., on their return to attend the National Encampment of the Grand Army of the Republic.

The Federal Lund Bank of Louisville in addition to their -uit against Henry Batman for possession of property in Putnam county, also filed an affidavit for immediate possession of this property which was granted by the court. Corwin and Gillen are the attorneys for the plaintiff.

An old Ford touring car was picked up by the police force Tuesday night and taken to the police station. It was found blocking an alley and had a last year’s license. The police thought that it had probably been left by some student as the tirewere stripped off, but other detachable parts left on.

The P-6, the Pontiac racer of Stark and Griffith, is beitig changed to correct a fault which developed in a race last Sunday. In the last race the car missed when any speed was developed so the mechanics are changing the ignit on and cam. They expect to try the car out on the Brazil track sometime this week and show some speed ii the race at Craw’fordsville next Sunday.

JULIUS DOW DISAPPEARS Julius Dow, 16 jear old son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Dow living east of the city near the County Farm, has disappeared from his home. It was not known whether he had left Sunday evening late ir on Monday. The hoy attends schoo at the local high schocl building.
