McCormick - Creek State Park was the scene of the annual picnic of all Wabash Valley Electric Co., employees on Sunday. A bountiful dinner was spread on long tables at noon and the afternoon was spent in viewing the beautiful park and in swimming in the new |>ool. An affidavit ha.s been filed against Fred Hamilton, an escape from the Indiana State Farm, in the Putnam Circuit Court. He escaped on Septem her 20, 1926 after having been sent there from the city court of Clinton, Vermillion county.

Warren Township Club Meets. The Home Economic- Club of Warren Township met at the School House in Putnainvillc on Friday July 6th with an all day meeting. There were thirteen present. Rem-burg w as married July 9th at Marshall, Illinois to Miss Cecile Cooper. Mrs. Kemshurg is a popular young I buxines- woman ol Terre Haute. Ylr. Remsburg i- a member of the graduating class of ’27 of DePauw University, and is at present assistant manager of the Singer Sewing machine Co., at Terre Haute, Indiana. I hey will reside at Terre Haute for the present.
