The Thursday Reading Club met with Mis. Alice Day, east Walnut street, on Thursday afternoon. Twelve members weie present who answered roll call by giving the dates of their marriage. A very inteie ting paper was read by Mrs. Robeit Pierce, the subject being “The Romance And Marriage of Napoleon and Louise.” Mrs. Lawrence Ciawley read a poem by Edgar Guest, entitled “Hi-. Worst Enemy.” One guest, Mis. Kenneth West was present. Delightful refreshments were served hy the ho.-tess. The next meeting will lie an all day picnic with Mrs. Paul Allen at Allendale on July 5th.
