Woman’s Bible Club Meefs.
Mrs. U. V. O’Daniel and Mrs. J. G. Dunbar were hostesses for the Woman’s Bible Club of the Methodist Church, at the home of the former, on Seminary St., on Friday. After the business of the meeting Mrs. Parnell had charge of the devotional peiiod, reading extract - fiom the letters of the Apelite Pane, showing how closely the teachings of John Welsey, who was the subject of the study for the afternoon, followed those of Paul, and urging each of us to give more thought to those same
teachings.
"Wesley the Evangelist and Organizer” was ably di cussed by M. . Stella Peck, who also gave the conditions in England, morally and spirit ually which led Wesley to seek a higher plane for his religious experience. Through his interests and those associated with him, came the organization of the great Methodist
church of today.
Mrs, Peck gave many incidents in Wesley's life, which are very familiar to one who has made a close study of it. Members of the class also contributed interesting facts. Duiing the social hour a Bible “quiz” was given by the President,

The pastor, A. L. Johnson, has just returned from a visit to the General Conference of the Methodist church which is now in session at Kansas City. Over 5,000 delegates and a large number of visitors are attending the session, and the Rev. Mr. Johnson witnessed the debates on the question of limiting the term of a bishop to eight years in any one
area.
