m TOBACCO LOhS-FILUER CIGAR For a Nickel! . . . Imagine! Never since “nickel” first meant fi * cents has it meant mild, sweet tobacco fragrance such as it brings to you in Havana Ribbon cigars. N o kidding. No loose talk. Because there isn’t another nickel cigar in the world that’s produced in large volume of such tobacco. No bitterta.iing id r-ripe leaves; no insipid , , ,T ripe leaves. Only _/ulljf-ripe ■ .id'ile leaves from choice tobacco plums, aged and cured to a mellowmildness not excelled in any cigar price! Tf you think this a pipe-dream, pied yourself. Dig up a nickel. Light up a Havana Ribbon and you’ll realize that there sure has been some progress in cigar-mak-ing and cigar values. Don’t confuse Havana Ribbon with live-centers made from "clippings” or short ends of tobacco leaves that crumble and come out in your mouth. Havana Ribbon is a long-filler cigar. For five cents! Also sold in Practical Pocket Packages of live cigars.

The Lincoln National Life Insurance Company of Fort Wayne, Indiana, has announced the appointment of Louis A. Warren, author and recognized authority on Abraham Lincoln, as dlrectbr of the newly established department on Lincoln historical research. Mr. Warren will bring to the archives of the company the results of more than ten years diligent and painstaking search of documents bearing on Lincoln history, particularly relative to the Indiana chapter of that great man's life which has hardly been touched by the biographers. The services of the department will be open to the public, according to the insurance company's announcement and many heretofore unknown documents will be published and distributed. Mr. Warren during the last year has been active in the <nterest of the Indiana Lincoln Memorial project and was sponsor for much of the material In the little booklet en.ltled “Lincoln the llons.er" which was recently published by the Indiana Lincoln Union.
