TO THE VOTERS OF PUTNAM COUNTY. As most of you know, I am a candidate for the Republican nomination for sheriff of this county. It I am nominated and elected, my oath of office will he my platform. My aim is strict enforcement of the law; hut, that does not mean an unlair or an unreasonable enforcement. I want to he fail to both the law violator and fair to the law abiding citi z<-n. 1 am sun- my record us deputy sheriff of this county under Leslie Sears, will show that I was fair to both sides, and that fairness is uniform, without consideration of personal feeling nr the dictates of anyone. The citizens may re.-t assured that if 1 am elected the sheriff’s office will lie an office of, and for, the people, and not the tool of any group or faction. The sheriff’s office belongs to the people, and should he their guarantee of law enforcement, therefore, if the mo-t of the people desire to have the laws enforced, and will investigate, and if , n y record in the city court, and in the circuit, does not show that | (|j d enforce the law' against all alike, do not vote for mo hut if my record i s such that you approve of it, I will he very thankful for your support a.* f am sure that if you approve of my record I will have plenty of support.
