The defendant in the suit for ejectment, William H. Eiteljorge et ul versus Harold Anderson et al, has filed motion and affidavit for chunge of venue from the county, in the Putnam Circuit court. Eugene Britton, Roachdale man, who plead guilty to a charge of stealing coal from the B. & 0. railroad at Roachdale, when arraigned in the Putnam Circuit Court Saturday afternoon, was taken to the State Farm Monday afternoon. He was sentenced to the Penal Farm to serve u term of sixty days, by Judge Hughes. With the baseball season rapidly drawing toward opening time, numerous funs are asking whether there will l>e a semi-pro team in Greencastie this summer. No definite announcement has been made by the cement plant or zinc mill as yet hut it is believed a team will be organized here by the time the college diamond season comes to a do e in the latter part of May.

Funeral -ervices for Mrs. Elizabeth Bament, who died early Sunday evening at Morton, were held Tuesday morning at II o’clock from the Mfthodi t Protestant Chureh at Clinton Falls, with interment in the Clinton Falls cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Walker of Anderson visited Sunday with .Mr. and Mis. L. I). Snider. Mr. Walker attended the Beta initiation held at the Beta house here Saturday evening. Mr Walker was formerly Miss Minnie Burnett of this city. An affidavit lias been filed in the Putnam Circuit court against Raymond Graham, Penal Farm escape. Graham escaped from the farm on July :IX, I!I27. He was sentenced to the Slate institution from the city court of Bloomington on a possession of intoxicating liijuor charge.
