Mrs. John Cook gave a most interesting paper on “Historical Spotof Indiana.” Two guests added to the pleasure of the afternoon. The next regular meeting will be held in April with Mrs. George Finney. Coach HiiKhe* To Drill Grid Candidates On McKeen Field After Series of Indoor Sessions.

After two weeks of chalk talks and blackboard drills, spring football candidal'a will lie given their first taste 04 outdoni practice next Monday afternoon, if the condition of McKeen field will permit the drills. Although approximately fd) men reported for the initial session, Coach Hughes expect- only 40 men to receive .-uits. In his blackboard lectures the Tiger Mentor ha outlined the fundamentals of the grid sport, stressing particularly defensive tactics in both individual and team play. Outdoor practice will center largely on fundamentals with several -crimmage sessions at the end of the -eason. Practically all the candidates for

the practice are members of last y ar’s varsity or freshman teams. The Carpenters’ local Union entertained with nn oy-ter supper and dance Friday night at the American ] Legion Hall. About sixty were present and enjoyed a good time. Miss Ethel Ader, teacher in tho Greencastle high school, was called to the home of her parents in Floyd township, Friday morning by the serious illness of her father, Sol Ader. The township assessors and deputies met in the office of Charles Marshall, county assessor, on Saturday.

Takes Part In Stunt. A picture of Miss Dorothy L. Muir, daughter of Jlr. and Mrs. Charles Muir, of Indianapolis, a pledge of Gamma chapter of Alpha Phi sorority of DePauw appeared in the Indianapolis Star this morning. Miss Muir took part in the stunt presented by the chapter at the annual state luncheon held this afternoon in the Travertine room of the Hotel Linj coin. -J- 4* »T- »U \nnjial Supper Held.
