Muncie Normal 29; DePauw Tigers 28.

The game started slowly with both | teams shooting frequently at Ion,'.’ range, hut being unable to conne t with the basket consistently. Muncie stonai first and laying down a barrage of shots, ran up a lead on the Old Gold squad. The Tigers miiniiged to keep in the running with se\eral field goals anil foul shots, but v* hen the half ended DePauw was

trailing 15-11,

In the second half, the Tigers, using powerful offensive tactics, staged a comeback, but Muncie, led by Fulmer, followed suit and managed to hold the lead until only six minute of play remained, when the Tiger tiid the score 25-25. However, two 1 field goals gave the Teachers the lead 1 again, and Old Gold fell shi rt of victory a few minutes later by the narrow margin of one point. Fulmer, Cardinal scoring ace and high scorer in the state, was high point man in the clash with 11 points, and Muncie’s most powerful offensive threat. He was closely followed by ( rawley with nine points, hi"h point man for the Tigers. Lineup and ,Summary:

Friday the Old Gold five play- | Karlham at Richmond and on Thur day, March 1, the fu-t Butler aggregation will furnish thi attraction on the Bowman gym floor here. Marion Crawley, ex Tiger Tub who learned his basket ball under Coach Bausman, was the outstanding star for DePauw, collecting 4 field goal and a free throw. Fulmer, Muneie's -coring ace, got loose for 11 points during the battle, which isn't speaking so good for thi man who was supposed to lie guarding

him.

Poor old Clinton lost another contest last evening, this time to the strong Covington team, by a 37 o 20 count. This makes about 5 straight defi-at* for “Spike” Kelly’s proteges. Judging from the score, Covington is plenty strong.
