OBITUARY —o— Samuel Wheeler Colliver, son of James and Elizabeth Wheeler Colliver was born March 3, 1858 near Mt. Sterling, Montgomery County Kentucky. Before he was five years old hD father dien and soon thereafter he came with his mother to Morgan county, Indiana, where they lived until be was ten years old, when they moved to the farm on the Owen, Putnam and Morgan county lines, where he spent the sixty remaining years of hi- life. He attended the local -chools and spent some time at thi Danville and Terre Haute Normals. Dee. 24, 1884 he wa- married to Mamie Johnson. To them six children were horn, four of whom with their mothi r have preceded him to the Great Beyond. He was, while very young, thtown on bis own recourse-, and industry, perseverenee and thrift were early written in delibly in his character. He was a charter member of Owen Lodge, F. and A. M. 655, al-o of O. E. P. Chapter 298 and a member of the Baptist Church. He was keenly interested in civic affairs, and found time during his busy life to serve in various official ways both his community and the organizations to which he belonged. Death came suddenly Saturday Feb 4, 1928. He leaves one daughter, Grace Showalter, one son Gilbert, and two grandchildren, Elavie and John Showalter. Funeral services weie conducted by Rev. H. S. Bums at the Baptist church at Quincy at 10:30 Tuesday Feb. 7 with burial at the Mannan Cemetery. o CLINTON FALLS There will Ire a meeting here at Ihe M. P.
