Many Students Granted Loans
Four possible sourer,s are available to the student who wishes to obtain a loan of money to continue his college course at DePauw. Student loans are, for the most part, handled through the office of W. H. McLean, assistant to the President. The first source is the Loan Fund of the Edward Hector Scholarship foundation, handled by Vicepresident H. B. Longden; the second, the College Loon Fund consisting of contributions from friends of DePauw; the third, the Student loan fund of the board of education of the Methodist Kpmc pal Church; and thi fourth, the President-Trustee grant provision by which the president of the University is authorized to aid needy students who “show promise.”
