DIES SUDDENLY Mrs. Isalielle Allen, wife of B. F. i Allen of Brazil, was found dead in bed Thursday morning at <» o’clock by Mr. Allen. Mrs. Allen had retired Wednc-day night stemingly, in good health, hut when her husband attempted to awaken her Thursday morning, he found life had departed. The corner was called and he found that Mrs. Allen had been <iead for two or three hours She i- survived by the husband, six daughters and three sons as fidlows: Mrs. Otis Shinn, Indianapolis; Mrs. John Logan, Putnam County. Mi.-ses Julia, Cora, Lyila and Lillie Allen at home; Ben Allen, Knightsville; Alva G. Allen of Reelsville, and Floyd Allen at home.

A field survey of the stripped over coal lands in Clay, Vigo, Pike, Daviess and Owen counties is lieing made this week by foresters from the Division of F'orcst of the Department of
Conservation. ,
At a meeting of the Indiana coal operators recently, in Indianapolis, a ' program was proposed hy Richard j Lieber, director of the Conservation Department and adopted by the coal operators to begin a systematic reforestation of practically all stripped over lands in this region. The trees will be furnished by the state forest nursery at Henryville, which has distributed a million tiees since it was started in 1922.
