from ruddy youth to gray hairs, from the illusions of boyhood to the stern realities of middle life. One who has spent that space of time baptizing our children, marrying our young people, and burying our dead, not to mention tho settling of a thousand petty squabbles, and all the time practices before us the religion which he preaches surely deserves the highest honor. Especially so, because he can hope for little pecuniary reward, even a competence for his old age. We congratulate the Presbyterians upon having such a minister and we congratulate the community upon having such a man and citizen as Victor I,. Raphael. It is our hope that he may stay with us many more years.
