B. H. Bruner, pastor, spoke Sunday morning at the First Christian Church upon the subject of “A Ministry of Love.” His sermon was based upon that evening scene in which the Master is pictured as feeding more than five thousand people with five loaves and two fish. Mr. Bruner pointed out the contract between the attitude of Jesus and His disciples in the face of human need and a great emergency. The disciples said, ‘‘Send off the crowds to buy food for themselves in the villages.” Jesus said, "They do not need to go a w :*y. give them food yourselves.”

GRANADA THF.ATER Some idea of the task which confronted Raoul Walsh in editing the motion picture "What Price Glory” which comes to the Granada Theater today for a three days’ run, can he had from the information that the footage which was run up on the production amounted to just a little more j than 100 miles. Just for one look at all the reels Walsh had to sit in the projection room for ten consecutive days of twelve heurs each. When it is considered that he had to run :

NORTHAMPTON, Mass., .T.m. 23. (UP)—Belief grew today that pretty Frances Smith, freshman at Smith college who has been missing since January 13, had purposely run away from the school. So strong was the belli f that the parents Mr. a d Mrs. St. John Smith, broadcasted a letter to their missing daughter. They believed the gill might have sought quiet and a different life. The letter, made public by the father, read: Dearest Frances: "We want you to know we are thinking of nothing but your safety and happiness." “If you are safe and wish to make a different life for yourself, we ih not want to inteifere, but to h lp if we can.” "But wo do want to know that you are safe. Now notice the method of Jesus. Here we find a fundamental principle which has been largely overlooked in out
