The first ordinance passed requires any company or corporation operating street or interurban cars to maintain its tracks and the pavement between the rails and 18 inches on each side in constant repair and safe condition to insure the safety of the public. Section two of the ordinance provides that upon failure of such company or corporation to comply with the ordinance its tracks are hereby declared unsafe and a public | nui-ance and the company shall imnu'diately refrain from operating its cars over such tracks. Section three provides a penalty of !j>10U to $J00 for each offense.
