Dr. , Zaring reports the daily average of tourists in the vicinity of Miami at 70,000 and everything flooded with people. It is hard to find accomodations and the larger hotels with ! extremely high rates are booked up a year in advance, and unless on* makes accomodations ahead in these hotels, they cannot be obtained at any price. The diamond men are getting into shape for their first game of the season next Saturday with the Jeff High team. Today was bank day in the Greencastle Schools. The departmental had a total of 40 depositors with a total of $7.43. The High School had 100 depositors with a total of $24.28. That made a total for the building of 140 depositors and a total sum of $31.71. The city schools now have a total* of $2643.02 with a total of 1073 depositors. The Greencastle schools have a percentage of 50^'Zi-. This total is an amount for any city of this size to be proud of. Not many city school systems can boast of their pupils having this amount in the bank. However, it is not the amount that counts, it is the regularity with' which the pupils deposit. The Junior Class held a meeting today at noon to appoint Prom committees and to discuss their part irt the carnival. The meeting was held' between 12:30 and 1:00 o’clock. Each class and organization in the 1 school will put on some kind of an event for the carnival. Some may have booths, others refreshment stands, others sideshows and various other things. ^ Today finished up the six weeks test schedule. The tests started last Thursday. j The noon pupils were entertained with their usual picture program today during the lunch hour. I
