CAR STRIPPED Prof, and Mrs. Russell Cook motored in from Greencastle, Monday night and put the machine in the garage. Next morning when they inspected it they found that sneak thieves had visited the garage and stripped the car of everything movable. Just the skeleton 'was about all that was left. Some furniture and other articles in the garage were also taken. — Danville

Mr. Anthrobus and Mr. Yelton, the evangelists at work at the Baptist church will hold services in the chapel at Limedale at 3:30 Monday after-

noon.

The Woman’s Club will meet Sat- , urday afternoon at 2^30 with Miss | Lela Walls. The subject, ‘Doors” will be given by Mrs. W. W. Tucker who will be assisted by Mrs. Frank Tilden. The local fire department was called to the home of John S. Dowling South Indiana street on. Thursday afternoon to prevent the sparks from a burning flue setting fire to the roof. There was no damage. Miss Brownfield, Miss Dimmick, Mrs. Heaton, Miss McLaggan, Miss Kern and Miss Gilmore will entertain fifty faculty women with a picture show party at the High School theater this evening to see ‘‘The Call of the

Wild.”

Miss Herpha Huffman who is at home on a three week’s vacation from her work in Indianapolis entertained a number of young folks at her home north of the city on Thursday evening. “What’s the matter with Butler?” 1 i asked a fan the other day. “Butler i is all right,” remarked a friend; I “she’s just beginning to get back to normalcy.”—Crawfordsville Joum al. Section three of the Christian church gave a very interesting play Thursday afternoon at the home of Mr-. J. W. Herod, east Elm street. The playlett was given in honor of three other sections and was entitled “The Family Album.” The playlett contained a very good plot and was well attended by the other sections.
