Captain Waird, the detective who will speak in the High School Auditorium on next Tuesday night, stating that he will be here to con-iuct the Chapel exercises during the last joeriod Tuesday if it is possible. A FIRE RUN The local fire department was called to the home of Mrs. Man- J. Sheridan, Friday noon to extinguish a small blaze resulting from an over heated stove place! too near the wull. The fire startei in a small pile of papers behind the stove which soon set fire to the walls and was burning rapidly when the f iiemen arrived The quick work of the firemen soon extinguished the blaxe which probably would have resulted in a serious fire.
