The New York Herald, of the I5th inst., contains anumbpnof rumois from Washington, which are rather droll.— It is said that Senator Masou desires to have Mr. Pierce re-nominated for President by Virginia he himsellexpecting to be named as Vice but that H. A. Wise will be too cunning for both— that Buchanan's return home in October, is to watch the progress of the Pennsylvania election—that Wilson Shannon's appointment to the Governorship of Kansas, was owing to the influence of Judge Douglas—and that S,'s instructions are to stick to Atchison that some" anti-Nebraska man will succeed Forney as Clerk of Congress, who the hind feet is white up to the paster TERRF..ff ATTTTS AND RICHMOND has contrived to make a quarter of a ioint'
