MURDER.—WM. LAWRENCE BLISS, ormerly a citizen of Pennsylvania, was nurdered in New Madrid county, Mo., the 4th inst., by a man named AL'REN CANOY. Bliss was attempting to sacape when he was stabbed with a jowie knife, receiving several wounds rom the effects of which he,died. The nurderer escaped. A reward of seven ltindred dollars is offered for him.

A thousand people visited them, great is their -curiosity to see them, be have seen them—the girl is very retty, only six years old next month. )nly the smaller snake goes with them, nd that is four feet three and a half nches long, and is idolized by the girl, ler father informed us last evening hat when she sleeps now she curls her* elf up like a snake, incredible as it may eem. The father and mother will be resent, and some one to tell the story the girl's being fascinated by the nakes, and the effects upon her. The firl has a wild look, and fears are enertained that she will in time languish ind die, in consequenee of the magnetic owerover her of the snakes.
