From the Albany (N. Y.) Journal.

Sentence of Dunnigan for the Murder of his Wife. The prisoner Dunnigan was brought into court this morning for sentence.— He looked haggard and care worn, and while awaiting the attendance of Juotice Watson wept profusely.

At the arrival of Justices Watson and Robinson, and Associate Justice Williams, District Attorney Harris said:— John Dunnigan, the prisoner at the bar, having been convicted of the high crime of murder, I now move the sentence of the Court be pronounced upon him.

Justice Watson—"Dunnigan, stand up. Have you anything to say why the sentence of the law should not be pronounced upon you?"

Dunnigan, with an abstracted look, said—"I didn't hear." Justice Watson, in a louder tone— "If you have any thing to say we will now hear you."
