Almost a liquor Case. Last evening, Marshal Dodson arrested a drunken man on the streets, and took him before Mayor Hook, who ordered him to bo placed in confinement until sufficiently sobered to testify as to where he procured the "critter."— This morning he was taken from the calaboose to the Mayor's Court, where ^'The heartless masacre of the English he made affidavit that he had prooured his liquor at the doggery in Demming's building, on Market street. Being «aily in the morning, and the unfortunate individual having need of something to eat, he was allowed to go to his breakfast on a parole of /iowdr," by the authorities, with a promise to return at $ stated time. le 6equel is easily arrived at—since his departure he has not been heard from or se-n, and, as a matter of course, the case has been dropped.
