Haute subscribers, should they desire to subscribe for more than that amount. The stock subscribed for by the city atid citizens of Terre-Haute to be PREFERRED stock entitled to a dividend of not less than ten per cent, per annum, and equally, when the profits exceed ton per cent. per annum.

The Terre-Haute subscribers to elect the I Treasurer, when the works go into operation-, who will be authorized to retain from the I montnly collections arising from gas bills tc., semi-annually five per cent, on such preferred stock and FIRST pay the same, and pav the oalnnce of profits pro rata, on the balance of stock but when the profits yield more than ten per cent, pur annum, then the! profits to be divided equally.
