Wo arc glad to see Bishop Upfold looking as if in fine health and good spirits—hope there is reality in the appearance.
A Piano Tuning Hammer, man
ufactured by Lemuel Gilbert, of Boston, was shown to us this morning, by Mr. Fish, for whom it was especially anade. It is, we understand, among the first instruments of the land ever made in this country, and does credit to American mechanics, as no nation can produce a neator, better or more durable piece of work. It is made -of the best of steel, and is as highly polished as silver is susceptible of. May success ever attend American mechanics, and American manufacturers.
JC3T Messrs. Westfall & Trapp advertise a lot of fine lemons for sale, today. Call and see them—they are so nice and plump that you will imagine yourself drinking lemonado for a week afterwards.
We are truly glad to see this house doing a good business, and feel confident that ic will continue and steadily increase, so long, as it remains under the charge of its present proprietors.— Perry is clever, good-natured and obli ging, and it is certain that Mr. Trapp understands what confections are made for. It always gives us pleasure to see or hear of the prosperity of honest, industrious and energetic, young men.
Mayor's Court.
TERBE-HAUTE, Juno G, 1055. TTho8. Garrott was arrested by the Harahal, and brought before the Mayor, •charged with stealing a hand trunk from Benj. Wilson, and committed in default of 8500.
A Mr. was brought before 3iis Honor on a peace warrant—complainant withdrew his suit and paid costs.
