Among those who went to the world's fair yesterday were Joe Alexander and wife, and Wm. and Ernest Scars. John Moore. who is visiting relatives here, and Charlie Walker left last night for a short visit to the world's fair. Phillip Haverly, Elmer Hainey and Mr. and Mrs. Shermon Linciconib left Saturday night for a visit to Chicago.
ELLETTSVILLE. Mrs. Mabel Wingfield and daughter, of Peru, are visiting relatives at this place. Frank Manpin moved herefrom Stinesville Tuesday. Joseph Thomas visited relatives at Bloomington, Sunday. The Matthews' store was entered by burglars Saturday night. The thieves entered through one of the side windows. It is supposed that they became frightened and escap

The M. E. Sunday school has requested the Telephone to publish the following resolutions in memory of Charlej Bee. "Whereas, an all wise Providence has seen tit to take to Himself our beloved little friend, Charley Bee; and whereas, by his death his playmates have lost a lovcable companion, the home au obedient child, and the school a faithful attendant; and whereas, there comes to each member of our Sabbath school a sense of personal bereavement, when we remember that ho S3 lately mingled his voice with ours in the work of the school; therefore, resolve, that we as a Sr.bbath school unitedly express our sincere regret and sorrow at his untimely and lamentable death; called away in early youth, leaving mother, father, and two little sisters, Florence and Beulah. That we recognize how precious the thought that the childlike -Christian faith of Charley will enable him to clasp the 6 "golden chain" in the beautiful home, above; and hope that we may emulate his ennobling virtues to be littcd to meet this inevitable summons thiX awaits us all. uThat we extend our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved mother and father, and the little sisters whose home circle is broken, and commend them all to Him who alone is able to heal all their sorrows and dry the tears from their eyes. M. B. Griffith, of the Cniver sity, has been selected as leader of the Methodist choir for the college year. He is an excellent musician and will give valuable service. On account of too much work, Mr. Bryan will not continue his Sunday afternoon bible class. In the future Mr. Henry's class will meet in the Y. M. C. A, hall at 9:15 a. m. N. G. --During the last week the enrollment has increased 16, making a total at present of 4-98 of which
15i are women and o4 are men. This shows not only an actual increase in the number of women, but gives to thefn a larger per cent ot the total enrollment than hitherto. J The Mathematical and Physical Club has been re-organized with Joe Giles as president and Miss Lewis for secretary. The club is composed of juniors and seniors whose specialty is either physics or mathematics. The meetings will be held on alternate Monday evenings. The lecture on next Tuesday night will not be delivered by Dr. Herron as given out, as he is unable to come. The lecture will 'be given, however, by President Swain, who will deliver an address on a t;PIea for High Education There will also be music by the University quartette. The Indiana University football team has the distinction of having a colored student as one of its members. His name is Preston Eaglcson, and he is a son of H. V. Eagleson, of this city. Mr. Eagleson took one of the honors when graduating from the Bloomington high school, and is now a member of the sophomore class. He plays as half back on the team. The students and citizens goner all v will be sorry to hear of the death of Otto Kearn, which occurred at his home on east 0th street this morning. Typhoid fever was
