MILTON HIGI1T. Milton Hight wafl born in Bionroc county, lndM Feb. 7th, 1823, and died Nov. 3d, 1887. lie was a graduate of the State University, in the clans of 1847. He held many positions of trust in this community, serving as Justice of the Peace, and' Treasurer of the State University. As sole Trustee of the Town of Bleomington he purchased tho site of our graded school building, and in connection with Maj. Mulky and George M. Chase built the handsome edilice on South College Avenue. Mr, H ijjht was al way a strong frieud of tho common tschool system of Indiana, and did all in his power to make the public schools come up to the highest standard. He was quiet and unassuming, but wheti he had to uxpretfs an opinion could do so, and stand to it His fathers's family was a largo ouo-but four survive. Within about a year Dr. John J. Hight and Mrs. 'Margaret Turner have died. Rev. Harrison
