Kepler, Cambridge City, (scholarship) ; John Edwards, Mitchell; and Chas. Hanna, Fortville. The Sigs moved into Farrar Hall, in the Durand building, last Wednesday night. Their business difficulties were arranged satisfactorily. Theytnow occupy the newest, if not the finest, fraternity t all in the city. Dr. Jordan gave some statistics on the attendance this year, last Wednesday morning. The register shows a marked decrease in the attendance from the southern part of the State, probably owing ta the drought, but a great increase in the representation from the northern part. Another noticeable fact; is that the attendance from Monroe conn ty is less than for years before and yet ,we have all the available material. Hon. Gil Sbanklin, editor of the Evanaville Courier, will deliver the Sunday lecture Nov. 6th. Mr. Shank! in was Secretary of State from '76 to '30 and has gained con siderable prominence in the lust two years as a vigorous critic of the public acts of Senator Yeorbees. The title of bis lecture is "Civil Service Reform." He is an advocate of this doctrine and his lecture is to he printed and used sis a campaign document by the National Association. The management of Th$ Stu-
tenlhaK passed from Mr. Spangler to Messrs. F. B. Foster and D. D::iscoll. They contemplate an entire change in the general plan, and many changes in particular departments. The journal will be a monthly and the, number of pages will be increased. It will uuike its appearance in a nev dress and will bo devoted in its advocacy of the interests of th? University, the Faculty and th? stuientej. The editors-in-chief tall be assisted by R. F. Hight, W. Robertson, H. L. Wilson, F. B. Dresslai, Miss Louie Morris and Miss Minnie Faris. The enterprise deserves 2. liberal patronage from the merchants, citizens, Faculty, alumni and students. The ludiana University Bulletin is the title of a new publication which will soon appear from the University press, it is to b conducted on the plan of the Johns Hopkins Bulletin and will be the only publication of the kind in the State. It will appear sir time during the year in the form of a KWpage pamphlet seme larger than the fitndent. It will be the organ of the Faculty. It will be edited by a committee of three of the Faculty elected by sealed ballots at their next meeting. The Board of Trustees have appropriated $100 towards its support, the remaining expenses to be made from subscriptions at to cents per year and guaranteed by the faculty. The committee having the matter in charge are Profs, von J agemann , chairman, Clark, Woodbmrn, Spangler and Dabney.
