The base-ball grounds in , the University campus are being cleaned off. and now the Sophomores and Freshles rejoice. Geo. Banta, of '76, is to be married Tuesday evening to Miss Lillie Vanter, a charming young lady oi Fn nklin, this State. Michner is the strongest Baxter man in the Senior class. But he believes it would be better to channe the name to something else. Tleloys now when walking with their girls do not like the east side of the square. It is so much more nleasant to promenade on the Avenue. Nelson K. Crow, of class '51, has been chosen to deliver ths Alumni address. He was the first man to ride the Phi Delta Theta goat in the Indiana University. Rev. McCullough gave ono of the most interesting lectures of the season in the University chapel Tuesday ovtning. On Wednesday morning he also gave interesting remarks. The Seniors are required to give their pedigree, to be put in the Uni versity archives, so that when any 4-f them get to be President it will bo not be hard to find their early history. The Public last Saturday morning, though short, was good. Dow Foster represented the Preparatoiy Department with a declamation, and Mis Carrie Short the Junior class, wiih an oration. Miss Short labored under the disadvantage of not having her speech well committed. The Seniors are excused from public, and the Sophs, and Freshies have the spring fever, so their classes were not represented.
