The Republican Nominating Con vention of last Tuesday was the largest, afid Wore votes were polled than at any previous convention ever held by the Republicans in this city. By this means no dishonest or iilega voting could be indulged in, hence the ticket selected is nominated by Republicans, for Republicans, and there is not a name on it but what is 'worthy of th heartiest sunjxwt o every citizen of Bloomington, regard less of party. For Mayor, Clellan F. Dodds, the present incumbent, was re-nominated Of his character and public service 11 know too well fur our words to add to his indorsement. The nominees for Treasurer, Clerk, Marshal and Assessor are four of our best citizen whose character and fitness foi the position to which they aspire.is beyond question, and' their election will be placing men in office tiiat will be an honor to the ci y.
