Rev. W. B. Dunham will preach at the Walnut street Presbyterian church tomorrow. Rev. Dunham is an able minister of Indianapolis. There will be a special meeting of Co. H. at the Armory tonight to have a court-martial. O.ie of li e members is accused of coduct unbecoming a member of the State militia, and the higher officers have instructed the officers of Co. H. to proceed with the trial in accordance to regulations. This is the first time in the history of the company that each proceedings have been ordered.
Just before midnight last night, when The World's editors were saying naughty things to the (printer's) devil, there came into our sanctum sanctariuin four of Bloomington's best looking young men, and without any warning whatever, proceeded to sing. It was the McCabe quartette, composed of W. B. Farmer, first tenor, -Homer Woolery, second tenor, William 'H. Wylie, first bass, and Theo. K. Willis, second bass. The members of the quartette are all active members of the Methodist church, and our musical editor states upon his oath that their music is first-class and high grade in every particular. The World hereby tenders its thanks for the compliment, and further promises that it will give each one a ' 'write up' ' a column long when he plunges into the sea of matrimony.
Martinsville by a combination of
pluck and push get the Red Men's
Pow-wow for next jear. . The citizens of that city crot a
hustle on themselves and the re
sult is the town will be compelled to entertain between fifteen and twenty thousand people on the seventh of next August. Seems as though the citizens of Bloomington didn't appreciate the fact that they might ha'e had the Pow-wow here instead, if they had made an effort. It means several thousand dollars will be left in the city, besides proving to b ai fdvertisement of no mean value. Let us get in line md capture the Pow-wow tor 1897-,

Mr. Tom E. Kline, an enginesr, forty ; ears of age, residing at 640 East Ohio 1 treet, Indianapolis, Ind., who has ran an. engine for two years on the Wabash read, and thirteen years on the Monou Toad, much of that time having been the engineer on the fast newspaper train has, for the past ten years, suffered from indigestion in its worst form. He had continual heavy feeling in his stomach, eo that he had to lie in bed to ease his pain. This indigestion caused chronic diarrhoea and sleeplessness. He had to be very careful as to his diet, and could only eat as simple a food as potatoes sparingly. He took four boxes of LYON'S SEVEN WONDERS, and now he can eat anything. His digestion is perfect ; he can sleep well, and he gives it as his opinion that the medicine does everything that is claimed for it He heartily recommends it to all persons suffering from indigestion ox any stomach disorder.

Property Has Never Failed to Earn a Sur
plus Over All Charges.
The Louisville, New Albany &
Chicago railroad shows steadily
increasing earnings fin e Jan. 1st.
The earnings for the third week in
July were $370,827, against $364-
820 for the same period in 1894'
Since Jan. 1st the road has earned
including the above week, SI, 632-
191 gross, an increase of $218,802
as compared with same period in
1894. Under th . present uanagement more than $3,000,0CO has
been expended for improvements, the entire line now being laid with
steel. The company has a plant,
h th as regards road and equip
ment, which compares very favora
bly with and other road in the
country; it has no floating debt, strictly speaking, and its future would seem to appear promising.
From a thoroughly reliable source
it is learned that for the year ending June 30, 1895, the annual report soon to be issued will ehow
a surplus of between $40,000 and
$50,000 as against a surplus of $77,985 for the year ending June 30, 1894. Gross earnings for the entire year will show a falling off, but to counterbalance thu expenses have been diminished. The!
decrease in gross earnings, we are
told, is about $90,000; the saving
in operating expenses about ?45,-
000. The payment of a dividend
of 1$ per cent, on the preferred,
Feb. 15, 1894 was considered
mistake. The , roper ty has never failed to earn a surplus over all charges and is free so far as we can learn from financial emb irass
ment of any sort. Sentinel. .

No DISEASE has ever presented so man peculiarities as LaGrippe. Nodlseuse leaves Its victims so debilitated, useless, sleepless, nerveless, as LaGrippe. Mr. X. W. Hilton, state agent of the Mutual Life Insurance Co., of Kentucky. sa;rs: "In 1889 and 90 I had two severe attacks of LaGrippe, the last one attacking mj nervous system with such severity that my life was despaired of. I bad not slept for roiare than two months except by the use of n arcotics that stupefied me, but gave me no rest. I was only conscious of Intense mental weakness, agonising bodily pain and ithe fact that I was hourly growing weaker. When in this condition, I commenced using Dr. Miles' Restorative Nervine. In two days I began to Improve and In one month's time I was cured, much to the surprise of all who knew of my condition. I have been in excellent health since and have recommended your remedies to many of my friends. Louisville, Jan. 22, 1895. D. W. HXUCOH. Dr. Miles' Herrine Restores Eglft.
