Judge Miers has ordered that judgment for the plaintiff he entered on record, in the-case of Cornelius vs. the Monon Railway Company for damages. This is the young man who was injured in the Owensburg tunnel and a jury after hearing the case awarded him $S500. The two weeks old son of Tillin ui May, living on North Grant Mr'-et died yesterday morning from the ell.;ct of a severe attack of hives. The funeral will occur this mornin from the residence" at nine o'. iock. The remains will be interred at Rose Hill.

Pi Beta Phi will entertain her gentleman friends in the parlors of the National Hotel this evening from U to 12 p in instead of Saturday evening at first announced. The first copy of the Daily Examiner, Orleans, Ind., has reached our table. It is a live cilunin folio, and is full of interesting lo'.:al matter. It speaks well for Orleans that it has such 11 daily paper as the Examiner and we trust that its publishers will meet with all possible success. The subscription price is ten cents per week.
