Marrf byj THE Lyon . MEDICINE IHDIANAP0U5 I'ND. '' For Sale byau. Druggists " U. L. SEE" AGAIN. He Breaks Out In Another Communication to the Indianapolis Journal. "U. L. See'' had another tirade against Indiana University in the Indianapolis Journal of yesterday. The attacks of this poor, deluded soul against Indiana's leading edu cational institution remind one of the husband who was asked why it was that he permitted his will 1o hit him with a broom-stick. He replied: "It amuses her and doesn't hurt me." It also reminds one of the fable of the ox aad the fly. It is something like the following. "Once there was a Bis Ox, and A Little Fly. The Little Fly lit squarely on one of the Horns of the Big Ox" and said: 'Mr Ox, does my Weight Disturb you Very Much?"' Most men are not ashamed of their names, but for some reason this "U. L. See" sees proper not to sign his real name. After reading a number of his chronic contributions we don't blame him for wanting to write behind a now-de-plume. In his article yesterday he takes the ground that the tax-payers of Indiana should at once begin a movement to repeal the frac-tion-of-a mill tax law passed by the last legislature. His special reason for being opposed to the law, is that private and sectarian institutions are sufficient, and in addition Chicago University is near at hand. Private and sectarian institutions each have an important field to occupy, and they are nobly doing their duty. Between these and the State University there is no feeling of rivalry, and "U. L. See" is in small business in attempting to work up a feeling of that kind. Take away the State University which is the crowning glory of our matchless educational system, and Indiana would be the laughing stock of the educational world. As now conducted Indiana University, is in the fir;it rank and its star is in the ascendant. Only now and then is heard the voice of a dyspetic critic, and then it serves only to make the myraids of the institution's supporters cling the closer to the object of their affection. "U. L. See" is an old fogy. He should get a shave, hair cut, and a good bath, hire a cheap boy to pull the wool f rom over his eyes, and cease to be one of that rapidly diminishing number who can be styled Sees." "The-Don't-and-Won't-ONE One Will Iteturn to tile Fold Again. Some days ago the faculty of the University met and decided to "drop" five students from the rolls for non-attention to their college duties. No names were given the public, which has since that eventful day been guessing. Just a ittle written sheet of paper, notifi-
