Daily dispatches reported her as getting along nicely until Thursday when she was taken worse and Dr. Dabney was immediately telegraphed for but was unable to reach her bed side until an hour after her death. Immediately' upon receipt of the sad news the following message of condolence was sent: wThe shocking new of your wife's death has reached us. We, with all T. U. people, tender you our heartfelt sympathy and condolence in these hours of your great sorrow and loss. Your Seniors." Prof. Woodford left Sunday as a representative of the Faculty to attend the funeral. During her short stay in Bloomington Mrs, Dabney made many warm-friends by her winning manners and lady like conduct. It can be truthfully said of her, that she was, in the truest and best sense, a lady. His many friends both citizens and students share his grief and extend to Dr. Dabney their warmest sympathy in this time of his greatest loss.
