of the marriage

of Mr. and Mrs.

Huntington. To answer a question often asked, 1 have been a correspondent of the CouRiSR for 13 yea rs. Mr, William W ampler and wife, who have been here several mouths have returned to their home in Missouri, ' One or two of our friends have said to lis that if they was wiiting items that accounts of misdemeanors thefts and so on wou'd be entiiely omited, thinking-it detrimental to a community to write up such oecurrances. I fail to see the matter in that light and believe in the old adage that it is a fraud to conceal a fraud. This being Jrue I fail to see iow a truthful report without unnecessary comment, of any local event can injure a community. In iny items I have al way s labored to ihow up the bright side in glowing jolrs, and ever avoided recording baneful and offensive rumors or any item caicuiat ed to make a distu i b mce, in any way. But if swindlers ind confidence men attempt to play heir games upon the people m thieves break through and steal, 1 think that an exposure of their acts is.an advantage to a community instead of being detrimental. ; : J.
