Hon. John C. Dolan and wife re turned from Indianapolis W ed nesiday. Mr. Dolan discharged his duties as a Representative faithfully and with ability. By his courteous ways he made many warm friends among his fellow members. He had some hard work to do, but he was successful at every point. He is to be congratulated on majtisg one of the best working Representatives we ever had.

The Courier has received a letter with the information that W. D. Alexander, formerly of Bloomington, who has been in the employ of
.H. Mason, a. saw mill man of Cook
county, Wyoming Territory, met with a serious accident on the 7th of February. The new college library building will be located East of the walk,and West of Owen Hall. It is probably that what is left of the $60,000 appropriation will be used to commence the main building, which will cost at least $100,000. When
all the new buildings are completed.,
the University property will be worth at least 300,000. -The trustee meet in Indianapolis next week to adopt the plans and advertise for proposals for the work on the library building. A petition is in circulation, and which has been numerously eigne -, praying the county commissioners to appropriate money sufficient to build a wagon bridge across White river at the Shirley ferry two milvs south of Gosport. This bridge seems to be badly needed, and the people of the south side of the river are very much interested in securing it. It will al3o be of great advantage to Gosport, and the people of that town are anxious to have it built. One end of the brhig?
