She was a devoted Christian, and died in full triumph of a living faith. She passed from a world of pain and care, aud has gone to join her father and brotheTwho, but a short time ago preceeded her to realms of beauty. This world is too much inclined to kick a man he is down. If a man unthoughtedly happens to take a little too much liquor, some one exposes him, and then everybody gives him a kick. If a man becomes financially embarrassed, kicking is all the sympathy he receives from hisfellowriuan. Should misfortune overtake him and involve, him in trouble, all his former friends, as a general rule, are ready to give him a kick still further down in the "slough of despond." It seems to be human nature to kick a man when he is down. It should uot be so, however. There is no christian or moral principal in such action. Our plain duty is to assist and raise up our fellow-men in everything that conduces to their happiness and prosperity, should this principle be followed out, there would not be so many men to conclude that life is not worth the living. The number of suicides would greatly diminish.
