All animals will learn to drink the water and enjoy it after a short time. In that regard they are like us two-legged brutes. An artesian well has been locat
ed at Lafayette for many yearp,
and people come from mileti around to obtain the water. Ju.o-s and casks are sent in &qa
all directions to be filled and returned. There will be no further need of citizens of this section going to the springs Ave will have a summer resort right here at home, with plenty of water possessing rare medicinal properties. Bath rooms will be located at convenient points, and a new hotel, on the south east corner of the squaro, is already talked of.
Citizens of Polk, Salt, and other
points can bring their jugs to town and instead of having them filled with fortyrod damnation can take them home overflowing with a clear, sparkling liquid, which nature belches lorth from the bowels or the earth. The artesian well will prove a blessing to Monroe county, and the best investment her citizens ever made.
