the Alumni on Tuesday night. His theme was "The Tn angulation of Life." The address was very long, lasting nearly t.vo hours, but was attentively listened to by a large an dience. Tuesday the Alumni held a

the thirsty Seniors we suppose it actually contained a poor article of the above ii'iinel which the class hai imparled for the occasion. Prof Joidan parlook liberally of it. but upon being greeted as a Demo crat by your reporter and asked as to his convivial habits and with a wink and a hint as to desire a samp el of the same by your reporter, the Prof, laughingly said it was only lemonade. However from the conduct ot the Seniors we were thoroughly convinced as to the truth of our first surmise. The program hossarvwith a class oration by C. L. Goodwin which was given in his usual eloquent style, The 'Retrospect" by Miss.. Jennie Foster was in the old way given, and a pleasant retprospeel of the class through its course iu college. The "Prospect'" by D, A. Curry eras full of fun and weddings and rather truthfuU if in aginary. From the exercises we glean that their are ivS Seniors in all with a combined weight of 2566 pounds and in average of -impounds with the smallest 85 pounds. There combined height-is 107 feet. The class contains 7 ladies and 11 gentlemen and has certainly a cultured appearance. "AH See to the Undergraduates" by A. D. Mofl'ett was rich ami racy and if well followed would lead to chaos in college matters. "A dream on the Cumberland" by R". S. Stevenson was a beautiful poem, but was read in so low a tone
that the audience could not perceive
