Indiana is a Democratic State, not a doubtful one in on years, but a reliable one at all times when there is an honest fair expression of the people. If wisdom guides the council of the democracy, it will go democratic for the next forty years. Indiana can have, and must have the next democratic governor. battles, sells his paper at one dollar and filly cents a year, takes white beans and and apple sass for pay when he can get it, raises a large family, works nineteen hours every twenty-four, knows no Sunday, gets damned by everybody, lives poor, dies middle-aged, and often brokenhearted, leaves no money, and is rewarded for a life of "toil by a short obituary puffin tho newspapers.

A full house greeted Minnie Foster's Uncle Tom's Cabin Company,, the first show ef the season, at tho opera hall on Tuesday evening, and everyone expressed the greatest satisfaction with the entertainment. To say that the company is a good one, would convey but a slight impression of its merits. It is really extraordinally so, and the
