Wo take the following in regard to new liquor law which goes into effect soon from the New Albany LedgerStandard, and contains much valuable information: A man found drunk may bo complained of by a citizen or arrested on sight . by an officer. For the first offence the new code fines him $5, for the second offence not to exceed $25; far the third offence not to exceed $100, or lie may be confined in the county jail not less than five nor more than thirty days Whoever being an office holder be cames drunk during business hours shall for the first offence, be fined not less than $10 nor more than $100, and imprisoned five to thirty days, for the second offence be deprived of his office by action of the C) rcuit Court. For selling liquor to a drunken man the fine is $10 to $100, to which may be added imprisonment lor not less than thirty days, nor more than one year: and disfranchismcnt. For selling to a hibitual drunkard after notice not to do so, a fine of $50 to $100 and imprisonment irom one to twelve months and disfranchised
