CHURCH NEWS Significance for today of the healing theology of (Christ Jesus) will be explained at Christian Science services Sunday. Scriptural readings in the Les-son-Sermon entitled “Christ Jesus” will include this verse from Matthew (9): “And Jesus went about 'all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.” One of the correlative citations to be read from “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy states: “The highest earthly representative of God speaking of human ability to reflect divine power, prophetically said to his disciples, speaking not for their day only but for all time: ‘He that believeth on me. the works that I do shall he do also;’ and ‘These signs shall follow them that be lieve’ ” (p. 52). Mr. Ralph Wagner is replacing 1 Rev. Church News of the Ligonier Area Calvary Temple Young people from all churches are invited to attend the youth rally on Saturday evening, August. 26. 7:00 p.m. at the church. Ths program for the evening will con sist of a film. i Christian Church Sunday. August 27, Rev. Henry will return to the pulpit from a three-week’s vacation. E.U.B. Promotion of the sixth and eighth graders will take place Sunday. August 27, during the Sunday School hour. The Board of Christian Education will meet Tuesday, August 29, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. August 31, 7:00 p.m. the choir will return to rehearsal for the winter months; and the Local Conference Session will meet at 8:00 p.m. Dr. W. S. Parks will preside over the session. ‘ Twilighters Bunco Club Meets The Twlighters Bunco Club met Tuesday night with dinner at Foo and Faye’s Restaurant. Twelve members and ten guests were pre sent. The club attended the Enchanted Hills Playhouse's production of “Where's Charlie” after their dinner. Mrs. Bill Eyer received a birthday gift from her secret pal and one from the club. Mrs. Richard Maresh. Mrs. Ernest Rog» rs, and Mrs. Joe Hughes received anniversary gifts. The September meeting will.be held in the home of Mrs. Donald Niles with Mrs. Eugene Henning assisting. . ,
