Five Injured Here In 2-Car Crash On SR 13 A head-on crash on SR 13 Saturday afternoon about 3:40 O’clock resulted in injuries to five people, none hurt seriously. David Strieby. northbound in a 1956 Ford with three passengers. was hit by a 1951 Ford driven by Geor e Wixsori. of Benton, when he pulled out of the south bound Jane of traffic. Wixson was ticketed for. improver passing. Wixson suffered contusions and abrasions to his right forearm. chest and right knee. He was taken to Goshen Hospital by the Harris ambulance where

along nicely. Mrs. Addie O’Reilly of Fort Wayne was a guest .from ’Wednesday through Sunday ih the home of her daughter and son-in-law. Rev. and Mrs. Jay Taylor. Sunday evening. Rosella and Phyllis O’Reilly and Joan Kimmell, all of Fort Wayne, called in the Taylors. The Howard Vannosters and the Forrest Otts were among those attending the Red Pole Association Picnic in Huntington Sunday. They returned early in order to take part in the Bible School services i/eld at the Richville church that evening. The Eugene Mosers spent most of Sunday at their Wawasee Lake cottage. Mrs. Ruth Williams of Copemish, Michigan, arrived Friday to spend several days with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. Mrs. Charles Williams. On Sunday they attended the annual Red Pole State Association picnic which*was held in Huntington this year. On Saturday, at 9 am. the Perry-Pace Setters 4-H Club had their tour and demonstration day and then had a picnic .at the Sun-E-Side Recreation Center. The Variety Pinochle Club met Wednesday evening in Millersburg at the home of Mrs. Charles Mahler. Nine members were present Mrs. Robert Bowby won high score and Mrs. Helen Botts, low score. -S Twenty members of the Womens’ Association of the Presbyterian church attended a potluck dinner meeting at 6:30 pm. slides of her trip to the Holy Land. Afterwards a business session was conducted by Mrs. Clifford Pettit, president. The Rotary Club met Monday with Dr. Robert Stone and Arthur ; Rassor in charge of the program. They gave classification talks. Ligonier Junior Team Wins First 4 Games The Ligonier Junior Legion Post 243 team has started with a four game winning streak, and to date is unbeaten. The team swept both ends of the opfening day double header against Mishawako with a six run rally after 2 were out in the last inning of the first game, and led all the way in the second game. The team bounced hard against North Manchester on Sunday to win both ends of another double header by Identical scores of 11 to 2. To date the pitching record. Berkeypyle has won two and lost none, while Bruce Potee and Terry Elijah have been winning pitchers in, one game each. Steve Fromm, lefthanded ace, will be gunning for his first win against the also unbeaten South Bend Central Post 50 team at Ligonier next Sunday, while Tom Firestone, Bruce Potee and Bob Straub will be attempting to collect wins on Saturday at Merefield Park in Mishawaka. A completely different combination has started each game, and by now it appears that the squad has more than in any previous year. Two completely different infields show that there will be a battle at every position while the pitching looks strong and about a six deep. The SyracuScene ...
