In the morning they attended a kitchenware party given by Mrs. Ezra Halsey, in the afternoon they were guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs Carl O'Haver Sr., parents of Mrs W.iVne Coy.. Mr. and Mrs. Tillman Coy attended the Bushong reunion Sunday at the home of Mrs. Coy s father Mr. Charlie Bushong of Syracuse. This is around the fourtieth year for the reunion There were 110 ih attendance. Mr Bushong will be 90 years old in October and is in fair health. Douglas Coy. son of Mr. and Mrs Wayne Coy. is among those from the Syracuse Church of the Brethren, attend.:;; Camp Alexander Mack at Waubee Lake. Milford, this week. Kern. Wayne Coy stayed nights with a cabin of boys. The camp began Sunday and will continue through Saturday. Thursday evening Mr. and Mrs. Darr and children. Denise and Everett Darr. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Dennis, were dinner guests of Mrs. Thelma Weimer, of Elkhart and later attended commencement exercises of Gary Weimer, nephew of Everett Darr. A reception was held afterward in the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Sheffield of Elkhart. The Good Cheer class of the Syracuse Church of the Brethren met in the home of Mr. and Mrs RoscoO Smith of Milford with twenty-eight present. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Mock were guests. Mr Smith and Mr. Mock were honored for their birthdays. A gift was presented to Mr. and Mrs. Emory Guy. Tim Yeager, son of Mr. and Mrs, Paul Yeager, and Karen Juday, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Juday. attended 4-H Club Camp at Camp Alexander Mack at Waubee Lake last week. The Syracuse Lions were sponsors of the two for their achievemade during their club year last year. Attends Meeting Postmaster and Mrs. Ernest Bushong attended a meeting of the postmasters of Kosciusko County at the home of postmaster Sims in Claypool Tuesday night. This was the regular meeting of the county association which holds its business session following dinner.

Recent Fines Paid By Anglers and Boaters Lynn Smalley, 25, and Jack Bowser. 27, of Goshen, were' fined in the justice of the peac? ‘ court of Robert S. McCullough last week Smalley paid s3l fine for fishing without a valid 1961 license. Bowser’s fine was sl7 for operating an unlicensed motor craft. The two men were arrest-: ed May 29 at Lake Wawasee by' Indiana hunting and fishing Earl Money, conservation officer Dana Sherman. 20, R.R. 1. Goshen, was arrested June 3 on Syracuse Lake by Officer Earl Money for violating Sec. 33 of the Boating Law which prohibits sitting on the gunwales of a boat. Skateland Club Plans Another Sock Hop I Thirty-seven club' members 1 were present at the weekly meet- ‘ ing Friday June 9. of the Hoosier ‘Skateland Club at the skating rink. Door prizes went to Barbara Bomar. Susan Kitson. Jo Ann Spitler, and Tattes Ternat. Plans for another sock hap will be completed at the next meeting Friday June 16. Committees for the party will be announced at that time. Club night starting June 30 will be a ’Bank Night” with cash awards.

Skating Party Wants Return Engagement The end of school skatins party and sock hop of thp Lakeland Skate Club was reported a big success -with Bruce Saunders of WSBT-TV of South Bend as emcee-. Another party with Bruce as emcee is planned within the next few weeks. Open skating from 7 to 10 p.m. followed by a sock hop has given members of all ages a full evening of entertainment and fun.
