Wednesday Club Ends Year With Musicale “ Mrs Alice Clark presented a program of piano solos and vocal selections playing her own aceompaniment for the closing of the years schedule. Wednesday afternoon in her home. A musicale by Mrs Clark has been an annual program of the club for many years. Guests were Mrs Ed Jamison. Mrs. Carl Reynolds and Mrs. Belmont Pmney. Mrs. Ben Crews, president, con. ducted a brief business meeting durumg which she passed the gavel to the new president. Mrs. Richard Heyde. To each of her officers Mrs Crews presented a gift. Refreshments added to the occaision and were served from a beautifully appointed table. Mrs. Crews poured and Miss Nancy Clark assisted with the serving.

Perk Inn Perks Up For Birthday Celebration Perk Inn started off the 1961 season with a blast by celebrating' two birthdays during the week end. D. B. Perkins observed his 75 th and his brother, Eugene his 64th. Both belie their years, and enjoy life to the fullest. Joining these two veterans of Wawasee Lake were Mrs. D. B. Boehl Jr., all of Louisville. Kentucky; Mrs. D. I. Stoffel, D. B. Perkins and Sara Stoffel, of Rocky River. Ohio.. Even the Syracuse Post Office entered the occasion when the mail carrier delivered 50 greeting cards to Eugene Perkins from his relatives and friends in Louisville. Perk Inn. near Waco beach, has been the summer home of the Perkins family for many years. Art and Crafts Club Mrs. Sol Miller was hostess to fifteen members of the Art Club Monday evening tn her home. Mrs Glada Starr. Mrs. R. K. Miller and Revi and Mrs David Gosser of Ligonier were guests. An entertaining program was presented by Rev. Gosser who displayed crayon and chalk drawings of places he has visited. ‘ Mrs. Gosser contributed to the proi gram with several poems. Mrs. Arnold Pfingst was cohostess and assisted with serving refreshments of salad and coffee. Miss Esther Hoover will entertain for the next meeting May 29 at her home jn Nappanee.

Wins Trophy At Hairdressers Show Mrs. Walter 'Opal' Miller won first place and a trophy for the best styling at the Elkhart County Hairdressers Association style show of coiffures and clothes Friday night when Unit 26 of the association presented the program i* the Hascall Room of Hotel Goshen. In second place was Mrs. Carl (Phyllis) Reiner of Dunlap and Mrs. Martel (Mary> Jennings was third place winner. All received trophies Mrs. Miller was the only entrant from Syracuse.
